Aleksey Igudesman was born in St Petersburg, Russia, and moved to Germany when he was six. At the age of twelve he was accepted into the 'Yehudi Menuhin School' where he studied violin and composition. From 1989 to 1998 he studied violin under Boris Kuschnir at the Vienna Conservatory and now continues to live in Vienna. Aleksey Igudesman has performed as soloist, conductor, chamber musician and actor all over the world.
