These arrangements of songs from The Threepenny Opera will be welcomed by choral directors seeking something quite different for their choir. Apart from the a cappella arrangements provided, they could also be performed with the piano accompaniment in the vocal score (UE 31544). Instruments from the original version could also be added. In any case, these songs would make an attractive addition to any concert programme. Songs include: The Ballad of Mack the Knife, Call from the Grave, Peachum’s Morning Hymn, the Second Threepenny Finale and Song of the Insufficiency of Human Endeavour.
