The BBC has launched its programme for the 2012 Proms.
The music of Pierre Boulez is featured in a number of concerts, including Dérive 2, Messagesquisse, Anthèmes 2, and Le Marteau sans maître. Daniel Barenboim and Boulez himself conduct.
Schönberg’s Gurrelieder are conducted by Jiří Bělohlávek, with Angela Denoke and Simon O’Neill as the main soloists.
Look out also for Alban Berg’s Violin Concerto and Luciano Berio’s Sequenza V for trombone.
See the full programme here. All programmes are broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, and many on BBC Television.
