Aleksey Igudesman is known as a violinist, but has also established himself as a composer, conductor, actor and film maker.
Aleksey Igudesman was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was accepted to the prestigious “Yehudi Menuhin School” in England at the age of 12. He then studied violin with Boris Kuschnir at the Vienna Conservatory.
Aleksey Igudesman’s compositions are published by Universal Edition and have been performed world wide by soloists, ensembles and orchestras, such as the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago and the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, often with him as a solo violinist and conductor.
