Cairo

Ewart Memorial Hall
The Egyptian Contemporary Music Ensemble (cond. Rossen Gergov) will perform Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s Secret Theatre and the Egyptian première of Luke Bedford’s Igor, The Bird Who Couldn’t Sing on 19 February. The concert takes place at the Ewart Memorial Hall in Cairo.

Rossen Gergov (c) Ivomir PeshevBirtwistle on Secret Theatre: “What I do is something I call instrumental role-playing … I don’t write an actual piece and then add a number of instruments – it is more like a play with persons that way, how they sound and what they say.”
