Josquin rediscovered
Kassel
The Kantorei Kassel under its musical director Eckhard Manz have asked Vykintas Baltakas to write a new work based on the Missa sexti toni by Josquin des Près. Eine Josquin-Promenade – for voices and live electronics – will be premièred in Kassel on 29 May and in Bursfelde the next day.
This year we also look forward to the première of a new work for ensemble at the Transit Festival in Belgium, and to the first performance Vykintas Baltakas of Scoria at Musica Viva in Munich, with the Munich RSO (24 Sep).
