UE music in Shutter Island and A Prophet
New films by Scorsese and Audiart with works by the UE composers Kurt Weill and Morton Feldman
Jacques Audiart's A Prophet, which has just been awarded with the coveted "César" prize, features Kurt Weill's most famous song, Mack The Knife. The film is nominated for an Oscar in the category best non English language film.
10 minutes of Morton Feldman's Rothko Chapel can be heard in Martin Scorsese's new thriller Shutter Island. The film, with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, has already displaced Avatar as the highest box office success in the USA.
