Georg Friedrich Haas' „... damit ... die Geister der Menschen erhellt und ihr Verstand erleuchtet werden ...“ for ensemble receives its world première on 26 Nov.
Georg Friedrich Haas’ work limited approximations, a concerto for 6 pianos in twelve-tone intervals and orchestra, premiered to great acclaim on 17 Oct 2010 at the Donaueschinger Musiktagen 2010 under Sylvain Cambreling with the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg. The piece received the SWR Symphony Orchestra Composition Prize for the “most remarkable orchestral work of the festival“, chosen by the musicians.
Georg Friedrich Haas' limited approximations for 6 micro-tonally tuned pianos and orchestra in Donaueschingen (17 Oct) and Arthur F. Becker (od. Buhr?) in Heidelberg (22 Oct).
The Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik focuses this year on the music of Friedrich Cerha.
