Emmanuel Pahud presents – Fantasy on “Der Freischütz”
THE FLUTE COLLECTION
Internationally acclaimed flautist Emmanuel Pahud presents the first publication in this new series bringing together selected pieces from the repertoire of famous flautists.
A wide range of music is presented – new discoveries, rarities and new pieces – all with aim of extending the flute repertoire.
This first edition is based upon a paraphrase of Carl Maria von Weber’s opera Der Freischütz by Claude-Paul Taffanel (1844–1908), one of the greatest 19th century French flautists.
This is one the works that have accompanied and influenced Emmanuel Pahud’s career and he presents it in the firm belief that other flautists will share his enthusiasm and admiration for the piece.
