In this musical foray Mike Cornick leads the pianist from the Baroque era to the present day. His arrangements of well-known titles such as Bach’s Air, Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus, Humperdinck’s Evening Prayer, Heymann/Young’s When I fall in Love and also Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s Your Song illustrate the wide range of styles available to pianists.
Biography:
Mike Cornick was born in 1947 and studied at the Trinity College of Music, London. He currently divides his time between teaching the piano and keyboard and composing. He is a well-known music educationalist in the field of jazz piano with many of his compositions appearing on examination syllabuses.
