Work introduction

Clytus Gottwald’s arrangements of early 20th-century masterpieces for a capella chorus took only a very short time to find a secure place in the choral repertoire; they include his exceedingly dense interpretation of Mahler’s Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen and now Webern's late Romantic masterpiece Im Sommerwind for 16-voice chorus.
