A narrative piece for solo cello and piano, depicting the heartbreaking story of a lost love and the story behind a famous traditional tune from Wales. This is a story of heartbreak, depicted in music. Joseph Parry, the famous composer of Wales, UK, returns home from many months of work in the USA, and is looking forward to seeing his love, Myfanwy. On returning to the shore he sees her at the end of a street, just turning the corner....as he follows her and rounds the corner, there he realises she is holding the arm of another...
