"RÍTMICAS" I and II are Two rhythmic studies for alto saxophone commissioned by saxophonist Alberto Chaves for his classes of students in cycle 1 and cycle 2 of the "Conservatoire de Musique - Danse - Théâtre de Nice" (France). The studies function as an introduction to new compositional approaches in contemporary music, especially in the treatment of rhythm, extended techniques such as multiphonics, quarter tone and timbre.
The work is dedicated especially to saxophonist Alberto Chaves.
