Work introduction

This piece consists of an apparently endless variety of sonic combinations of the live instruments (flute, B-flat clarinet, viola, cello and harp) and their “reflections” recorded on tape, along with electronic sounds. The live instruments are combined in multifarious ways, with and without the tape; dialogues develop between the individual instruments and their electronic echoes or shadows, and sometimes the audiotape takes centre-stage, culminating in a fascinating work by the young Luciano Berio.
