The Pärt-Eicher concert in the Elbphilharmonie

An exceptional concert will take place on 3 February 2020 in the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
A monographic concert with works by Arvo Pärt, conceived by Manfred Eicher within the framework of the format "Reflektor", exploring the comprehensive spectrum of his CD label ECM as part of a five-day programme. ‘What is more mysterious than clarity’ Manfred Eicher once said about Arvo Pärt, quoting Paul Valéry.

The collaboration between Eicher and his CD label ECM and Arvo Pärt began in the 1980s with the legendary album Tabula Rasa. Since then Manfred Eicher and Arvo Pärt have produced dozens of CDs. All reference recordings of the highest quality. In an interview at UE Musiksalon Manfred Eicher talked about his work with Arvo Pärt

The programme in Hamburg, curated by Eicher, includes highlights from Pärt's work:

Fratres / for violin, string orchestra and percussion
Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten
Adam's Lament for mixed choir and string orchestra
Salve Regina for choir (SATB), celesta and string orchestra
