Three Christmas Carols

Heads up, choir conductors! The Scottish-born musician Joanna Gill once again proves her award-winning composition skills in this album. She presents three new Christmas songs, which were arranged for mixed choir with piano accompaniment and promise an unmistakable festive mood. The perfect choice for concerts and masses all around Advent season!

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
– with lyrics by the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It is presented with a swinging bell like texture and a catchy tune builds to a dramatic ending wishing peace on earth.

Look to the Stable
 – a new carol with lyrics by Becca Beschizza, a gentle lullaby for the new born baby Jesus, praising this event. This gentle melody is bound to become a favourite with both choirs and audiences.

Sir Christèmas
– a traditional British carol in the setting by William Mathias, a popular choice for many years. Yet here is a refreshing new arrangement with the hint of sleigh bells and a choral texture where the melody is passed from voice to voice.
