The popular "Tea for Two Series" continues with more inspiring piano duets from Mike Cornick - this time on the subject of love. Contrasting styles are explored from Duke Ellington's stylish and swinging Don't Get Around Much Anymore to a unique, intertwined arrangement of the Caribbean songs Yellow Bird and Water Come a Me Eye (Come Back Liza). The old favourite Dark Eyes and the more contemplative I Gave My Love a Cherry and The Water is Wide complete the collection. The CD includes the complete performance of each duet as well as play-along rehearsal tracks for primo and secondo players. For intermediate level players and beyond.
(…) If you don't have a duet partner, the books come with a CD that allows you to play either part with Mike Cornick himself. Tea for Two, Charleston for Two and Sleigh Ride for Two are also available - they're all good fun! Pianist Magazine 6/2013
