Arvo Pärt and the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Reading time: 1 min. Arvo Pärt

Arvo Pärt’s first collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic resulted in the world première of Symphony No. 4 ‘Los Angeles’ in 2009. Now Gustavo Dudamel shares his love of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Arvo Pärt: together with the Los Angeles Philharmonic he will perform works by the two composers in three orchestral programmes at the “Mozart [&] Pärt” festival, which runs from 19 to 29 May in Los Angeles.

The festival opens with the performance of Pärt’s acclaimed Miserere on 19 May. A festival highlight will be the world première of Pärt’s Greater Antiphons for string orchestra on 28 May. The programme will be repeated on the next day.
