Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music

On 2 August, the 47th Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music will open with Karlheinz Stockhausen’s legendary composition Carré for four orchestras, four choirs, and four conductors, under the artistic direction of Thomas Schäfer.

(c) Otto TomekThe two-week festival (2-16 August 2014) features over 30 concerts, performances, semi-scenic musical theater events, and experimental interventions, which will take place in several different locations and spaces in Darmstadt.
