In his new work Duchcov (for mixed choir a cappella), Georg Friedrich Haas sets letters by Giacomo Casanova to music. The power of the letters, written while librarian at Duchcov castle as a biography of his dangerous liaisons, lies in their literary quality, while bearing witness to a dazzling life and a lonely end.
The world première is on 17 March in Munich. Rupert Huber conducts the Bavarian Radio Chorus. The concert will be broadcast live on BR Klassik.
