Rihm: Pater noster for mixed choir a cappella

Reading time: 1 min. world première Wolfgang Rihm

It was no coincidence that the sixteen-year-old Wolfgang Rihm should write music for a cappella choir, considering his early experiences as a choral singer.

These experiences continue to permeate his work, right up to pieces like ET LUX (2009) or Vigilia (2006).

Pater noster from 1968 is a work that gives us a glance at the developing master.
