Rihm - Dämmerung for large orchestra
Audio preview
Work introduction
This mysterious piece could serve as the introduction
to the second half of a concert; the large orchestra well precedes similar
compositions of longer duration. The five minutes of Dämmerung are fully charged with music and theatrical events;
restless moods succeed one another in a depiction of forceful drama (or
dramatic force) typical of Rihm, alternating with tender sensitivity.
