Work introduction

I find bandstands incredibly evocative, full of ghosts and child-like memories, whilst being at the same time perfectly functional and practical platforms for popular, outdoor performance. The idea of composing a piece that would draw the public’s attention to these unique, surviving monuments in free, open and public spaces immediately appealed.
