Description

Reviews

UT 50102/UT50103/UT50104

(...) Thankfully, all critical notes are included in the three Brahms sonatas, plus three pages of Peter Roggenkamp's notes on interpretation and extensive MS quotes of earlier variant readings. Christian Martin Schmidt's two-page preface is largely common to all three sonatas, tweaked here and there to suit each one in turn. You could buy cheaper elsewhere: instead, consider the extra outlay in this case as money well spent on an extra (written) piano-lesson. (…)
