Biography
Hamik Alexanderian was born in 1971 in a family who loved art and culture in Isfahan New Julfa. As a child he became familiar with piano, in a sense an informal introduction to the world of music.
This initial formal training is accredited to Mrs. Diana Ghazarian and Mr. Aris Nadirian. In 1992 he went to Armenia to continue his formal education in “Komitas” conservatory, city of Yerevan.
His educators were the renowned professionals like Ivan Vardanian, Yasha Zargarian, Youri Davtian, Sergei Danielian, Sergei Aghajanian and Stephan Shakarian.
In 2001 he was graduated with MA as a chorus and opera-symphonic conducting. He has passed professional courses in piano, vocal, and music composition.
In 2006 he went to France to attended symphonic orchestra conducting classes at Ecole Normale de musique de Paris, supervised by professor Domenique Rouits.
In 1999, in parallel to his studies in Armenia he establishes the “Tatev” choir in Isfahan-New Julfa supported by the Vank Cathedral. This choir is in its 15th year of continuous development.
In the recent years he has been instructing piano and solfeggio as a master at The Fine Arts and Music University, Isfahan.
Every year he performs many concerts for piano solo, duets of piano- violin, and vocal, in addition to choir and pop concerts.
About the music
Alexanderian has been working as a piano and solfeggio teacher at Isfahan University of Art and Music for the last few years. In the course of his musical career, Alexanderian gave a large number of concerts as a piano soloist, violinist but also as a choir singer, both in the serious and entertainment genre.
