Biography
WAS BORN IN COMO (ITALY) IN 1962. HE STUDIED COMPOSITION WITH LUCIANO CHAILLY AND GIUSEPPE GIULIANO; ELECTRONIC MUSIC WITH RICCARDO SINIGAGLIA AT THE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC OF MILAN, GETTING HIS DIPLOMAS IN 1985 AND 1988. HE ATTENDED SEVERAL PERFECTIONING COURSES LIKE : ACCADEMIA CHIGIANA - SIENA (FRANCO DONATONI); ATELIER DE RECHERCHE INSTRUMENTAL IRCAM - PARIS; DARMSTADT FERIENKURSE. HIS MUSIC HAS BEEN REWARDED AND RECOGNIZED IN IMPORTANT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS (GAUDEAMUS MUSIC WEEK AMSTERDAM - CONCORSO INTERNAZ. "CASELLA" SIENA – CONCORSO INTERNAZ. About the music
Music has always played for me a double meaning: on the one hand, it was and is a great tool for self-knowledge and autosciplina and the other was and is a valuable opportunity to communicate my inner world. Everyone is different and therefore has a diversified approach to the world and what belongs to it, including music. Fantasy can only be one of the tools available to the composer: I personally think that the imagination is very important but it alone is not enough ... you need a good technical preparation, self-discipline, patience and a strong motivation combined with a love unconditional in respect of your musical work. The creative process of a piece can be different each time. Personally I am a very instinctive musician and as a child I always had a very immediate approach to making music ... both in composition and improvisation.
