Work introduction
Not only in everyday life, but also in artistic matters, we prove over and over again to be a throwaway society: because in contemporary music everything is constantly expected to be "new", nothing must be "retrieved" or repeated, everything should be as concentrated as possible and at most be expressed only once.
To perceive constant innovation as an obligation carries the danger of inflating superficial effects and thus instigates a highly problematic wear. Re-Cycle attempts to plead for a "sustainable" way of composing via the integration of extended techniques into a musical context associated with established European traditions.
In addition, the title refers to the circular disposition of the piece.
