About the music
In my music, I combine between different cultures, traditions and musical currents, which I came to know in the course of my life. I was razed in the framework of classical Russian tradition, later became acquainted with contemporary European music when I lived and studied in Germany, and yet later became exposed to Jewish liturgics and folk traditions together with modern jazz, fusion and much in between. I am interested in exposing hidden connections between seemingly unrelated things, taking cultural idioms and exposing them in an unexpected context. All this with an emphasis on the unmediated experience of the listener, which for me is an active participant in creating music.
