About the music
In general, my piece covers contemporary music, traditional music, folk music, pop music, electronic music, jazz rock music, film music, computer music, etc. I mainly composed 5 series of works in recent years: 1. "Broken" series: combinations of chamber/ensemble and live-electronic music, [re]-convert the electronic processing to the instrumental textures and layers; 2. Vanishing series: more Humanized perception, focusing on the literary expression and philosophical speculation; 3. Suite series: transforming the genre of the Baroque music into new music. While looking for the new fancy techniques of contemporary music, tried to build the delicate sound by using unconventional techniques; 4. “Deep” series: Mainly focused on larger orchestration or richer/deeper sound with electronics, which will work on the larger scale relationship between the authentic electronic-processing and the artificial instrumental-processing; 5. Chinese instruments with live-electronics.
