The composition, inspired by Thomas Mann's novel of the same name, pays homage to the brilliance of the German composer Adrian Leverkühn. Drawing inspiration from key moments in Leverkühn's life, the musical narrative unfolds through a unique approach that weaves together both simple and complex events. Unlike traditional, contemporary, or other styles, this composition employs a distinctive system that deliberately avoids creating hierarchies between notes, thematic elements, repeats, or other formal constraints.
