Description
Filaversarium was dedicated to the Banatul Philharmonic on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of founding of the symphonic orchestra. The work combines moments in which diatonia is brought to light, with others in which the chromatic clusters dominate the musical discourse. The dark chromatic aggregates were used to create contrast and enhance the bright diatonic structures.
The meeting of opposing forces gives rise to tension, which determines the direction of the musical discourse towards the culmination at the end of the work. The polar pairs are followed on several levels: the expository character of some sections will have the polar correspondent provided by musical sections in which the rhythmic activity becomes important, a sonic discourse dominated by the homogeneous group of strings will have corresponding sections where the woodwinds will predominate. Also, the collision of opposite energies is manifested if we look at the polar pairs at the level of dynamics, sonic textures, densities.
The first audition of the work took place in the Capitol Hall of the Timisoara Philharmonic on January 10, 2020, Banatul Philharmonic Orchestra being conducted by Bogdan Voda.
