Description
Titled „Five Interrupted Lullabies“, the piece commemorates the events of a night in Odesa in March 2024, when a rocket attack claimed the lives of four infants and a baby. It was commissioned by Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv.
World premiere was played with Odense Symphony Orchestra on 5, September, 2024 in Odense under Oksana Lyniv as conducter.
Lyniv and the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra performed the work on February 24, 2025, in a concert marking the third anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine as a German premiere and repeated it a day later on February 25 in Den Haag.
