Description
The poems "Ein Engel fragt" (An Angel Asks) and "Er verschwebt" (He Floats) by Hans Arp (*1886 +1966) are from the lyrical cycle "Mondsand".
In the series of poems "Mondsand" (1960) dedicated to Marguerite Arp-Hagenbach, Arp let himself be overwhelmed by the pure joy of words, which are capable of triggering sounds and multi-layered images with their magic, in order to describe the moon and the diffusion of its silvery light.[2]
I wrote these songs on the occasion of the 2nd Hülshoff Summer Concert, conceived by me, on 09.08.2015 at Hülshoff Castle, birthplace of the poet Annette von Droste Hülshoff. Organiser Annette von Droste zu Hülshoff Foundation.
Rebecca Blanz (voice) Farida Rustamova (violin) - Franziska Rees (violoncello) Zoë Knoop (harp).
I revised the arrangement of the score in 2023 for publication by UNIVERSAL EDITION.
The songs are published on the CD "Als treibe hier ein Herz zum Hafen" label encore Nr.: enc-020 and also published at:
