Description
4. Batman – piano four hands, inspired by Semmame Semmame is a Kurdish traditional dance with a wonderful motoric and perhaps even somewhat extatic feeling to it. I have underlined it by a consistant groove, giving this piece a minimalist touch. Endurance is needed, as the the pianists relentlessly repeat and intertwine the strongly ornamented fragments of the tune. Aleksey Igudesman
