Kinderchor (O ignis Spiritus paracliti)

O ignis Spiritus paracliti  is based on a text belonging to the visionary nun Hildegard von Bingen. Following the structure of the text, the piece has a tristrophic form. The delimitation of the three musical sections is made by reciting the text; otherwise, vocalization is used. In order to emphasize the transcendent character of the text, a predominantly diatonic modal language is used, in which influences of Gregorian chant are felt.

O ignis Spiritus paracliti was performed for the first time by the children's choir of the Ion Vidu National Art College under the direction of Maria Gyuris. It was presented to the public at the VOX MUNDI Choral Festival on May 26, 2016 in Timisoara.
