Description
This selection of seven poems by Ulla Hahn, probably the best-known contemporary German lyricist, has in common that they address a direct counterpart in the sense of a direct address. The composition therefore follows the idea of allowing the short lyrical monologues to enter into a dialogue with a second, albeit non-verbal, voice. The violoncello does not function here as a 'song accompanist' but, as in a theatrical scene, as a dialogue partner.
