Description
“No pleasure is temporary; for the impression it leaves is lasting”, formulated the great German author Goethe. Consequently, some of my compositions are music to enjoy in the best sense of the word. In the second monographic album «In the Secret of the World», which the pianist Anna-Maria Maak has dedicated to my piano work, the delight of the marvellous and illusions find their place among ‘Fables and Solitudes’: - like the title of my piece! Space of Dreams can also be heard in this context. Though imbued with the vitality of pop music culture, the piece begins with a fleeting allusion to a Beethovenian gesture symbolizing the value of ‘giving space to desires’. The musical discourse then expands to the boundaries of improvisation, which gives the work a natural equanimity. The rest to be said should be: Enjoy it...!
