Description
This 4-movement quartet is neo-classical in both form and style, except that the serene and tranquil movements are the first and third, while its faster and playful movements are the second and fourth. The titles of the movements are: Adagio, Gigue, Berceuse, and Rondo. The final Rondo movement includes themes of the previous movements in between the rondo theme, thus making the work cyclical in nature.
