Description
On a Mountain was composed for the festival Forfest Czech Republic, with which the composer has been associated since 1998. The texts are by John Muir, the American naturalist and author of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They are quotations from his magazine articles and books about the beauties and spiritual qualities of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the Western United States, a region especially loved by the composer as well.
