Work introduction
The score was born after Marcin Türschmid's request to write a composition for alto voice and string quartet for the Festival of the Ascension in Cracow (Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 15th of August 2012). I have always believed that writing means leaving a trace of one's thoughts, so what should one write for a religious celebration? I thought that drawing from a text from the Old Testament could be the right way to create a sound to embody a musical prayer.
