Work introduction
Moira is based on the intertwining of four words in fifty-one different languages, even if there is a prevalence of African, Middle Eastern, Slavic and North European idioms to expand the anthropological representativeness. The words' choice are drawn from two categories: subjective-internal experiences (loneliness, love) and collective-external ones (destiny, world). The composition was conceived in an open field, to aim an ancient and not-time conditioned dimension even if it requires a close performance control. The trumpet dialogues with the choir and is conceived as a supporting voice, as well as an archetypal instrument. The phonetic articulations characterize work's world sound.
