
Born in Bytom (Poland), the saxophonist and flutist Marcin Langer gained his first musical experiences in a band and on stage starting in 1972. He studied music from 1981-1986 at the University of Duisburg (clarinet with Theo Jörgensmann, saxophone with Wolfgang Engstfeld, piano with Ferdinand Bruckmann). Since 1986 Marcin Langer has worked as a freelance musician in Germany and abroad, both as a soloist and in ensembles.
In addition to his musical career, Marcin Langer has taught, e.g. at the Folkwang Music School in Essen since 2012, and composes his own works.
Marcin Langer is co-founder of the Pindakaas Saxophone Quartet, where he played until 2015.
