Dvoraks 9 Symphony now available for string orchestras. Due to the arrangement there would be a lot "hard to read" polyphony in the single parts. That is the reason for the unusual partitioning of 4 Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Celli. There is no need for a special seating. The minimum instrumentation is:
4-4-4-4-2, Piano. Of course it is possible to increase the number of players, they should be somehow in proportion. The piano part is "non solistic" and is always implemented into the orchestra. The position of the piano should be not in front of the orchestra!
