'A riveder le stelle' are the last words of Inferno, the first cantica of Dante's Divine Comedy.
The piece is presented as an elegy, a thought addressed to the stars and written in a spontaneous way where the double bass is articulated in lyrical and virtuosic moments.
I would like to dedicate this piece to the memory of Piero Leone and to Matteo Zabadneh, our mutual friend who played the first performance.
