Work introduction
While composing this short piece, composer was influenced by the natural phenomenon in fall season. It was interesting in finding the meaning of traditional East Asian Luna-solar calendars in matching this significance. Composer selected five major autumn solor terms: 1. Autumn Commences; 2. White Dew; 3. Autumnal Equinox; 4. Cold Dew; and 5. Frost, as five major sections in the structure of this piece.
The changing the tone color and sonority is slowly approached as if the changing of the weather and the meanings of these solar terms. The entire piece is generally atmospheric, descriptive and sensational in an abstract and imaginative way.
