Work introduction
A short, rhapsodic piece for bassoon and piano, written for the bassoonist Jo Stark. It makes frequent use of the bassoon's beautiful tenor register.
Berceuse is the French for lullaby, and is inspired by the luscious harmonies of early 20th century French composers such as Ravel and Poulenc.
