Work introduction
The poetry of Emily Dickinson as well as her life story inspired me already many years ago. Several books of Emily Dickinson have been translated to Latvian language, so her creative work is well known in Latvia. Although I prefer reading her in English, to feel flow of the language, rhythm, to understand metaphors and philosophical meaning. Emily Dickinson speaks of universal values, the individual's relationship with the world.”
