Work introduction
"Capriccio" is a composition dedicated to the Duo Puglia Meloni, written for their fortieth anniversary of concert activity together.
The piece is articulated in dialoguing and lively panels, in which the two instruments play on short and simple elements, with a detached and continuously intensifying phrasing, the apex is reached in the last section which begins at bar 49. After having reached the peak of tension, the figures gradually fade away.
