Work introduction
Chaosmos with Webern is a de-construction (Derrida sensu) of Webern’s String Quartet op.28. The silence - so specific for Webern’s music - is explored from the inside, using, mainly, the generative grammars (free-context ones) of N. Chomsky.
The result is a very complex web of intricated connections between the multitude of frequencies produced by the instruments. Silence and frequency are intimately interconnected in the production of music.
As concerns the electronic device, the newest techniques of live electronics are used, in order to extend the procedures of the instrumental possibilities. For example, the ANTESCOFO programe, conceived at IRCAM-Paris.
