Pirandello's novella "Dialogue between Big Me and Little Me" is a light-hearted comedy about a flirtation that was actually nice. Here the dialogue takes place after the flirtation between one's own generous "big me" and the petit-bourgeois thinking "little me". Amusing. I have tried to translate the individual atmospheres of this dialogue into music.
What is necessary to perform this work?
The speaker must be a trained singer, as the text parts must be performed to the music and also rhythmically as a spoken word song.
